Ms. Sheila LallyFeb 24, 2023
I am so sorry to have to post a negative review as I have been a regular and extremely satisfied customer at the Lowry for many many years. The matinee performance of Steel Magnolias on 22/02/2023 was really good. The whole experience however was completely overshadowed by the behaviour of the loud, aggressive and intimidating security guard at the entrance. As we apparently didn’t hear his instructions, he yelled across the foyer at my two friends and I, repeatedly shouting, “ Get back here” We were at a loss to know what we had done as he continued to shout and intimidate us. I asked him to stop shouting which seemed to anger him even more. We were even threatened with being denied entry. It has always been a joy to come to the Lowry…the staff have always been pleasant and helpful. I recognise and welcome the security which must be a priority nowadays, but I’m at a loss to understand why three ladies (70+) should be treated so aggressively. Sheila Lally
