Vivekananda College, is one of the most sought after Colleges in the Trans-Yamuna area. Established in the year 1970, it was set up by the Delhi&sa=Search&ref='>Delhi Administration in Gandhi Nagar. Its main objective was to facilitate better opportunities for higher Education of women in the area. It started with admitting 300 Students in B.A. (Pass) course in a School building and has come a long way since then. The present College building was dedicated to Swami Ranganathananda of the Ramakrishna Mission and its foundation stone was laid in the year 1976 by Pof. S. Nurul Hasan. It offers dynamic and empowering Environment to the young women who wish to pursue undergraduate degree in arts, Humanities, Commerce and Social Sciences. Located in Vivek Vihar, in East Delhi&sa=Search&ref='>Delhi, it has a huge Campus spread over ten acres and provides State of art facilities in Campus to its Students which includes 35 classrooms, 12 tutorial rooms, computer centres, specialised Laboratories, Auditorium, Seminar and conference room and a fully automated library.
