Sorin Coliban is a Romanian opera singer with an international career. His voice range is bass–baritone. He is known for the volume and projection of his voice, both of which help him to sing both bass and baritone roles.His career gained momentum after winning the singing competition "The quest for Don Giovanni" in Athens in 1994. From 2004 to 2009 he was a member of the ensemble at the Vienna Volksoper. He performed concerts at the Concertgebouw, in Amsterdam. He has sung, among others at the ROH Covent Garden, at three of the Paris Opera Houses, in Athens, San Francisco, Santiago de Chile, Tel Aviv, the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, at the Bayerische Staatsoper, in Amsterdam (Concertgebouw), at the Deutschen Oper am Rhein, at the Wiener Festwochen, the Bregenzer Festspielen. Recently, he made his debut at the Bregenz Festival in Austria, where he had a great success. He was Timur in “Turandot” at the St. Margarethen Festival and, in, 2022 to.
