Rajinder Garg is an Indian politician from BJP and horticulturalist. He currently serves as an MLA representing the Ghumarwin constituency since 2017. Garg also serves as the state Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs since 2020. Rajinder Garg was born on May 30, 1966, in Thandora village, Himachal Pradesh to Shri Baldev Dass. He obtained a master's degree in botany from the Jiwani University, Gwaliot in 1990. Beside politics, Garg also worked as a horticulturalist and businessman. Rajinder Garg is married to Raj Kumarir, who works at TGT Arts. In 1982, Garg became a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, a Hindu nationalist paramilitary group. The following year, he joined its student organization, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, and became a local leader for the ABVP, serving as its chairman in the Bilaspur district from 1986 to 1987. Garg served as the ABVP's secretary in Himachal Pradesh from 1987 until 1988, and as its secretary in Madhya Pradesh from 1990 until 1997.
