I am reading Desh for last 30 yrs. I want it back with its apolytical image. Pl make it a pure SAHITYA POTRIKA. Make the cover blessed with great paintings of legd. Artists. We donot want to see the faces of Political leaders in nice mornings. RAMYO RACHONA is great addition. New Illustration Artists are very promising. Pl publish those poems which are having some meanings. We donot like those poets who are having big names, but they themselves donot understand the meaning oftheir own poems. Banchana of the talents of West Bengal : The literary talent of West Bengal are really deprived of recognition for their creativity and innovation. Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay should receive Noble Prize for his creation of characters like Indra and Srikanata in the novel ’Srikanta - Part 1’. Bibhutibhusan Bandopadhyay was eligible to get Nobel Prize for his Pather Panchali and Aranyak. The talents of Kallol Yug and Narayan Sanyal were suppressed and overshadowed with ‘ too much focus on Tagore’. Today’s talent of Bengali Literature are also unnoticed; applied arts and literature is not growing in right direction. Banga Sahitya Parishad.

Since my teenage i am a reader of this magazine. Still i call up the days my grand mother was highly interested in reading the serials of novel. I became interested by them. When i was school boy i read UTTARADHIKAR, KALPURUSH , KALBELA of Samaresh Majumder. Also the biggest writing of Sunil Gongopadhayas SEI SAMAY, SMRITI SOTOTOI SUKHER by protiva Debi. MADHUKORI of Budhhodeb Guha and só on. I became interested in bengali poems also. Though i was unable to find out all the meanings of those poems without the guidence of seniors. Still i can remeber MANABJOMIN of Sirshendu Mukherjee and the writings of KETOKI KUSARI DYSON. I am now interested to write poems and story also novels. In various little magazine i hav got chance to publish my writings. I hooe to send my writings here to get the worthy opinion.

Desh is still number one no doubt in it among the other literary magazines, but I find now, the standard is lacking. They must seek for writers who write well and doing something astounding, but not getting any cooperation. We are tired of reading the writings of some of the known writers, actually boring. I do not know, why writing should not be the only identity of a writer. For years now I have been going through your magazine in the hope of something fresh and of high standard, but I am sorry, I find though as I have said, Desh is the best among all, yet, the old charm is missing.
