Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 1997 and located at Delhi&sa=Search&ref='>Delhi-Meerut Bypass, Meerut, and Uttar Pradesh. It is a private Institute which is affiliated to Mahamaya technical University as well as AICTE. The Institute is administered by the City Educational and social welfare society. MIET offers several courses in bachelor of Technology such as Electronics and communication Engineering, chemical Engineering, Information Technology, computer science & Engineering, mechanical Engineering and BioTechnology.

Other offers which are being offered by the Institute are MBA, B.Pharm, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical chemistry), M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics), M.Tech (BioTechnology) and MCA. The College has a big Campus which occupied 14.04 acre including library, computer centre, hostels, etc. hostel facility is provided for both boys and girls. Around 850 boys can easily accommodate in boys hostel while 250 seats are there for girls. There is a big library in the Institute which is having a complete range of books regarding Technology, Business administration, pharmacy, humanities, applied sciences, computer applications and social sciences. There is also a computer centre inside the University which consists of 735 computers integrated in 15 different labs. All computers are privileged with Internet facility with a speed of 10 MB/sec. In 2008 and 2009, the College was selected as a star performer in the award function of UPTC academic Excellence.
